Campaign Simulation - PBL Rubric
In Civics, students had to run their own presidential campaign. In groups, they created their own political parties, including a platform, symbol, and slogan. Within each group, students took on the roles of President, Vice President, Campaign Manager, Finance Manager, and Lobbyist. They created websites, commercials, speeches, campaign favors, and posters.
Students were assessed on Teamwork, Responsibility, and Focus. Students self-assessed. I found that most students were honest and accurate in their self-assessments. I added my feedback to their self-assessed rubric.

Students were also assessed on the quality of their work and their presentation skills. While each student presented, I graded their work using the rubric. Hopefully, students will use my feedback to reflect on their presentation skills. Overall, I was impressed by the quality of what they produced.
